Renico Construction Newsletter- July 2025

Why does it seem as if most politicians around the globe are not much liked? Is this a true reflection of the world-wide political landscape or is it only that the haters have an elevated platform from where they can voice their disapproval? Surely this cannot be a true reflection of the relevant politicians' approval ratings as they were elected to their positions by a majority vote.

The South African political landscape is currently in a diabolical state with the two major political parties embroiled in a war of words that has brought the already unstable Government of National Unity close to a total collapse. If our elected politicians could rather channel their energy into bringing about positive change, our economy would surely immediately respond by growing at a far greater rate than the sub-one percent at which it is currently hovering. It could even reach the elevated levels which our politicians optimistically predicted during their political rallies!

As the finishing touches are applied to our third phase homes in the Riverspray Lifestyle Estate in Vanderbijlpark, we also have the latest batch of new owners ready to take occupation of them! With a very limited number of homes still available to purchase within this phase, clients who miss the opportunity to secure a home now will have to wait another three months before homes in the next phase will become ready for occupation.

Construction of the ninety-six iThemba homes in Albertsdal is well underway and I believe that we will have the project completed well before the current advertised date of 1 December. The construction of the entrance and guard house of the Melokhule Estate, of which iThemba will become a part, is also progressing well ahead of schedule. I am very excited about this security estate which, once completed, will comprise of three individual complexes, and will form part of a single security estate with state-of-the-art access control and excellent security.

Great progress was also made with the installation of civil services to our Elemente project next to the Potchefstroom dam. Here we have fifty-seven full title stands adjacent to the pristine waterbody spanning over 770,000 square meters, where clients may use the architect and builder of their choice to build their next dream home.

We also plan to have the first show unit in our Uitsig development, conveniently located alongside the Elemente estate, completed within the coming months. This forty-three-home development is earmarked for completion by mid-2026 and will offer stunning three-bedroom, two-bathroom simplex homes with back-up electricity and water solutions as a standard feature.

This past weekend we had our first families take occupation of their new homes at our Fernhill residential complex in Bryanston. With another group of residents moving into the complex in a month, the complex will almost be 65% occupied. Hopefully, our marketing team will conclude a few more sales in the weeks to come to get the complex closer to being 100% sold.

Everything is in place for the launch this week of the Harlow Estate in Craigavon, Fourways. Here we will have one-bedroom apartments priced from an eye-watering R595,000 and free-standing duplex homes comprising of three- bedrooms, two-bathrooms, and a double garage from an unbelievable R2,595,000! This is most probably one of the best value-for-money developments available within the greater Fourways precinct. All information on this fantastic development will be available on our website in this coming week.
